Genysis Labs is pleased to announce the addition of two highly-skilled, research scientists to our management team.  Dr. Aihua Liu is now the Director of Research and Development; and Mr. Firas Harb is the Director of Inorganic Analysis at Genysis Labs.  Dr. Liu will oversee the R&D and sample analysis of HPLC/UPLC and LC/MS/MS testing.  Mr. Firas will oversee ICP/MS testing.  Both of these are critical areas to our operations.     Dr. Liu holds a PhD in Pharmacognosy, an M.S. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and a B.S. in Pharmacy. Utah State Attorney General Visits Genysis

At our invitation, Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes visited Genysis on Thursday, October 27, 2016.  Jeff Reynolds, Dustin Ott, Daisy Herpin and Ken Sheppard accompanied Mr. Reyes on a tour of our production facilities and Genysis Labs.  Mr. Reyes, who introduced himself as “Sean,” was extremely personable, and took the opportunity to speak to and have his picture taken with several Genysis employees, including Bill Burnam and Larry Gomez in Receiving, Scott Brockmeier in Weigh Out and Blending, and Brian Bodell in Packaging, and Spencer Carter in Genysis Labs.  Mr. Reyes expressed genuine interest in what we do and complimented…

At Genysis Labs, we are addressing protein methodology issues head on. Current testing in the industry requires the measurement of protein — but the current typical test only measures the presence of nitrogen, and then the assumption is applied that source of nitrogen is protein.  This assumption can be taken advantage of by ingredient suppliers and some manufactures by “spiking” the test with nitrogen-containing compounds such as amino acids or melamine, and make it look like there is more protein in the product than actually exists.
